DR. DEREK PELOFSKY
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Derek Pelofsky graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College, LA in 2005. Upon graduation, Dr. Pelofsky worked at the Chiropractic Sports Institute in Westlake Village. While at CSI, Dr. Pelofsky worked with many amateur and professional athletes from all sports in many different settings. In 2008, Dr. Pelofsky was certified as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner, which enables him to provide the most up to date techniques when treating athletes at his clinic or at sporting events. Dr. Pelofsky prides himself on constantly keeping up to date in all areas of musculoskeletal treatment and sports performance. Since practicing in downtown, Dr. Pelofsky has since developed the niche to treating the corporate athlete that is sitting most of the day. Dr. Pelofsky is an avid recreational athlete and currently resides in Downtown Los Angeles.
Dr. Paul Jun
Doctor of Acupuncture
As a practitioner of Acupuncture & Asian Medicine, Dr. Paul Jun is dedicated in healing his patient’s whole body, mind and spirit. He recognizes each patient as an individual and helps them find their unique path to health and wellness. Every patient’s treatment is personalized regardless of their symptoms.
Dr. Jun is state licensed acupuncturist, board certified by the CA Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In 2008, he completed his Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine Degree at South Baylo in Anaheim, CA. Dr. Jun has also received a Ph. D. doctorate degree in Yuin University. Dr. Jun have many experiences in treating multiple health conditions, some of which include acute/chronic pain, insomnia, digestive disorders, headache, anxiety, depression, stress, weight management, women’s health, skin problems and infertility.
Dr. Jun aims to restore quality care, and patient satisfaction by spending the necessary time creating the space, and allowing the process that supports health and vitality. His style of acupuncture is known to be very gentle and surprises even those who are initially fearful of needles. After the initial assessment, a combination of acupuncture, acupressure and cupping will be administered. Should herbs be beneficial, they will be recommended.
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
Elizabeth was born and raised in Orange County with a competitive spirit in academics and athletics. She was a leader at the distinguished Oxford Academy College Prep High School helping the school build their sports programs from the ground up. She pursued her love of science and movement with a BS in Athletic Training at Chapman University where she was heavily involved with sports injury management and strength/conditioning. After working with professional teams like the Angels, Dodgers, and Anaheim Ducks, Elizabeth developed an interest in the aging athlete.
She then went on to earn her Doctor in Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California in 2011 where she teamed up with expert manual therapists that propelled her quest for specialty training. Dr. McGonagle completed the year-long Orthopedic Manual Therapy course in Folsom in 2012 which focuses on functional movement analysis, motor learning and effective principles for spinal rehabilitation. Dr. McGonagle enjoys watching her patients achieve their goals, and regain control of their injuries. When Liz is not in the clinic, she loves watching sports, dancing, boxing, hiking and cooking.
DR. Josh Pinder
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Josh graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a degree in Human Physiology and Kinesiology. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2008. Since then he has continued to advance his knowledge of sports medicine and exercise science by achieving his board certification in Orthopedics, completing Manual Therapy Certification, and becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His time as a clinician has been focused on mostly orthopedic, trauma, post-surgical and sports injuries. He emphasizes the use of clinical diagnostics, evidence-based interventions and manual therapy to promote the fastest healing possible. As a life-long athlete himself, he carries his love of sports and exercise into his practice as a clinician by ensuring that all his patients return to their ideal level of function and performance.
